avanti food & beverage

Avanti Food & Beverage in LoHi will soon offer an incubator style space for eight aspiring restaurateurs to test out their food concepts in a open marketplace setting. The eight start up restaurateurs will lease fixed retrofitted shipping containers located within the interior of the building, complimented by two bars, and seating for over 330, including a rooftop deck with views of Denver’s growing skyline.

The name Avanti is a carry-over from long time owner & occupant, Avanti Printing & Graphics. The Avanti concept was inspired by the San Miguel Market in Madrid, Spain, according to the partners behind the project: Rob Hahn, a local developer, Brad Arguello, founder of Uber Sausage and Patrick O’Neil, owner of Choppers Salads.

The adaptive reuse design of the original 1935 structure is the work of Meridian 105 Architecture, based here in Denver. The designers were thoughtful in the transformation of the building in carrying over design elements from its past occupants, adding new materials like the shou sugi ban wood siding, and maintaining its masonry shell. The 10,000 sq ft of new and old space is nearing completion and will open later this year.
