I recently had the opportunity to work with the talented husband and wife team behind Cadence Design Studio, an architecture and development company here in Denver. Angelo and Nancy Marasco are passionate about modern design and have an affinity for the Mid-Century Modern homes that were so prominent throughout US in the 50s and 60s.
We are fortunate to have a couple neighborhoods, here in Denver, filled with Eichler inspired mid mod homes. In recent years, as the style has made a resurgence, many have been updated and brought back to life. Angelo and Nancy specialize in modernism design and have a lot of experience working with renovations of old mid mod homes.
This home is one of their latest projects in Denver’s Krisana Park neighborhood. Krisana Park has 175 Eichler inspired homes that were developed by H.W. Wolff from 1954-1957. Krisana Park is listed as a Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places.
I love spending time in the neighborhood, it makes me feel like I’m back in California. I am drawn to the simplicity of Mid Century Modern homes and the inside /outside living they offer.
The home was completely gutted. They built new framing, installed new floor to ceiling glass, new facade, new interior walls, new beams, new kitchen, a whole new addition, and much much more. They were really good at documenting the progress on their website. Take a look at the company blog to learn more.
I really enjoyed photographing Angelo and Nancy’s work. The house was welcoming, comfortable, with a well designed floor plan between the new and old.
Thank you Cadence Design Studio for the opportunity to provide architecture and interior images of your latest Krisana Park project.
