Celebration
The Celebration Collection is a visual meditation on the art of savoring life.
This series began as a study of Colorado’s trees, wise, patient, and full of character. But during post-production, a different narrative emerged. Among the hundreds of photographs was an image that stood apart: a luminous close-up of a dandelion, its life nearly gone, yet glowing with intricate beauty. It wasn't just botanical, it was celebratory.
As I looked deeper, I realized I had unknowingly been collecting images that captured nature's quiet explosions: radiant lines, mesmerizing shapes, and luminous forms found in trees, seeds, leaves, and lifeforms in transformation. These are not conventional landscapes. They are celebrations of existence, moments that speak not of what’s next, but of what is.
Printed in large formats up to four by six feet, these images command space like bursts of joy. They serve as reminders to pause, appreciate, and truly see the beauty around us. Because in a world that constantly pushes us forward, these fleeting moments, often missed, are the ones most worthy of celebration.

“People of our time are losing the power of celebration. Instead of celebrating we seek to be amused or entertained... Celebration is a confrontation, giving attention to the transcendent meaning of one's actions..”
— Abraham Joshua Heschel
