About JC

JC Buck was born in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, and spent much of his early childhood in Brussels, Belgium, where he attended the International School of Brussels. This early exposure to diverse cultures fostered a lasting sensitivity to people and place that continues to inform his creative work.

He holds a degree in Marketing and Business Administration and began his career in the healthcare industry, relocating to Denver in 2007. Inspired by the entrepreneurial energy of the West, he earned an MBA from the University of Colorado with a focus on Entrepreneurship and later founded his photography studio, fulfilling a dream first sparked in a high school darkroom class.

JC began with architectural photography and has been published in both local and national media. Today, he divides his time between his portrait studio in Denver, his architectural photography practice, and ongoing fine art work.

Living with generalized anxiety disorder, JC approaches photography as both a professional pursuit and a deeply personal form of therapy. His images often reflect a meditative attention to detail and a desire to create stillness in a restless world.
