Artist Statement
Photography has always been a way for me to slow down, observe, and make sense of the world around me. What began as an exploration of people, places, and the natural environment has gradually evolved into a more abstract investigation of light, color, and form.
My work is rooted in curiosity and a desire to find stillness amid the noise of everyday life. Sometimes the images emerge through quiet observation; other times, they are constructed through deliberate experimentation with light and shadow. In both approaches, I am drawn to the subtle relationships between presence and absence, movement and stillness, and the familiar and the unknown.
I am interested in photography's ability to move beyond representation—to create images that are felt as much as they are seen. Abstraction allows me to explore emotion, perception, and the passage of time without prescribing a particular meaning.
Ultimately, my practice is both an exploration and a personal refuge. Through the work, I hope to offer others a moment to pause, reflect, and experience a sense of calm.
