Alpine
Alpine
Alpine is an abstract series created using in-camera multiple exposures of Colorado mountain landscapes. Captured in Summit County, these painterly renderings emerge from a deliberate blurring of detail, allowing the bold geometry of the peaks and dramatic snowscapes to take center stage. The resulting images trade realism for abstraction, transforming towering summits into layered brushstrokes and rhythmic forms.
Rather than precise documentation, Alpine evokes the visceral sensation of standing in the elements—wind in your face, snow shifting across ridgelines, and mountains dissolving into atmosphere. The work embraces motion, imperfection, and intuition, offering a new way of seeing these timeless forms.
The series has been printed in large format, including a 12-foot-wide triptych commissioned by a Denver-based company, displayed across three 4x12-foot panels.
